The IFPEN Group moves up to the 12th place in the INPI ranking of patent filers

According to the 2018 French National Industrial Property Institute (INPI) ranking of patent filers in France (based on the number of patents published), the IFPEN Group is ranked 12^th, up one place compared with the previous year.

182 patents were published by the IFPEN Group in 2018. IFPEN therefore ranks among the top 20 patent filers in France, alongside major industrial groups, such as Valeo, PSA and Safran. This ranking underscores the performance of the Group's innovation strategy and its promotion of research results, leading to technology transfers and the creation of jobs and value.

IFPEN also ranks among the top 3 French research organizations in terms of INPI patents applications, along with CEA and CNRS.

Seventy-six of the patents published concern new energy technologies. This underlines IFPEN's commitment to energy transition.
