The students of the 2020 Class took part on October 24th in the 12th edition of the Energy Transition Day, organized jointly by IFP Energies nouvelles and IFP School.
This event was organized around five mayor scientific topics related to the energy transition: sustainable mobility, recycling of plastics, offshore wind development, carbon capture and storage and open innovation.
After an introduction by Christine Travers, Dean of IFP School, Didier Houssin, President of IFP Energies nouvelles, presented the current energy context, the energy transition and the challenges to be met in the future with a special focus on IFPEN projects.
This annual meeting aims to raise students' awareness of the energy transition by addressing the energy and environmental issues of tomorrow.
The students were also able to meet with IFPEN experts and share, during a round table, with actors of the energy sector: the International Energy Agency, the Research and Innovation Council of the European Commission, EDF Renouvelabes and Engie.
